My Knacker Biodiesel fuel pump?

I bought a 2003 Freelander about 5 weeks and have to run mostly on bio-diesel. Everything was well until he decided not to start. My mechanic said BIO keep them busy in the garage, causing problems in many cars. It turned out that the fuel pump pickup. I read that it is a heavier fuel, put the pump under pressure.
