How do I get rid of Algae in diesel tanks?

Sometime the truck takes a little longer to start, so really I’m thinking that theres algae in the tank and getting to my injectors.

The best way if you have the time is to drop the tank and just take it to your local car wash and pressure wash it with degrease and rinse it out, drain it and let it dry and also change the fuel filter.
